I had no idea the 17th hole at Lincoln Park Golf Club had this view. Golf just got more interesting.
After a week out of town, we spent President’s Day weekend in town – finally. On Sunday, we decided to drive up north to Tomales Bay for some oysters and the great afternoon weather. It was our first time there, and we are already hoping to go back the following weekend when Scott and Julie come visit.
For the 3-day weekend, we took a trip down Highway 1 to visit Carmel and Big Sur – two of our favorite spots to get away outside of the city. The weather couldn’t have been nicer, with 70+ degree temperatures each day and not a cloud in the sky.
On Saturday, we spent the day in Carmel Valley, where we stayed on the golf course and spent our time running, playing basketball and hot tubbing. On Sunday, we continued down to Big Sur for some more views and poolside relaxing. Not a bad way to spend the middle of January.
I may never get to experience a World Series parade on the north side of Chicago, so when the Giants scheduled their parade for Halloween this year, I tagged along with thousands of fans. Packed 10 people deep from the parade itself, it was hard to see much of anything, but I took some timelapse stuff with my phone to watch the various players, coaches and owners fly by. Might never see a parade with blue, white and red, so black and orange will have to do for now.
